West Country catering, priced properly
FeastMatch
Three quotes. One format.
One brief goes to three caterers who actually cover your date. They price it into the same structure — so the differences you see are real differences, not formatting.
How it works · four steps
Four steps. One brief.
Six minutes of questions at the front, so nobody spends three weeks translating four incompatible PDFs at the back.
Twelve questions, about six minutes. Date, headcount, site, service style, dietaries, budget band. You write it once and never repeat it on the phone.
Start a brief 02 MatchWe shortlist caterers who cover your date, your postcode and your style, and confirm availability before anyone is contacted. Three go forward. Not eleven.
How matching works 03 QuoteAll three price the same brief into the same structure: food per head, staffing, chef time, travel, hire, VAT and terms. A quote that won't fit the structure doesn't reach you.
The quote format 04 CompareOne table. Same lines, same order, same assumptions, deposits and cancellation terms side by side. The comparison is the product — everything above it exists to make it possible.

Comparable, not confusing.
The work isn't finding caterers — there are hundreds. It's getting three of them to answer the same question the same way. Figures below come from the seeded corpus this prototype ships with.
Wedding · Bristol
120 guests · September
£2,347 apart on the same brief.
Corporate · Bath
80 guests · quarterly offsite
The cheapest per head wasn't the cheapest.
Private party · Cheltenham
60 guests · 60th birthday
Staffing priced, not assumed.
Hog roast · Thornbury
150 guests · barn wedding
Travel priced, not buried.
Street food · Swindon
200 guests · company summer party
Two vans, one gazebo, one format.
Plant-based · Frome
45 guests · anniversary
A menu, not an adapted side.
Seeded sample corpus · not live trading. FeastMatch has not traded; these briefs exist in the seed data used to test the evidence gate, and are shown to demonstrate the format rather than to claim a track record.
Why FeastMatch · operating principle
Say the number. Show the workings.
Structured quotes. Earned prices. Nothing resold.
01
One format, no exceptions.
Caterers price the same lines in the same order, or their quote doesn't reach you. A PDF that hides staffing inside the per-head rate is not a quote we will forward.
02
Prices are earned.
A cost page publishes a band only once five real quotes from three different caterers sit behind it, none older than eighteen months. Below that it says so, publishes no number, and stays out of the index.
03
Your brief goes to three.
Not eleven. It isn't resold, it isn't listed on a lead exchange, and nobody's phone starts ringing the moment you press send.
04
Paid on the booking.
8% to £3,125, then 4% on the rest, ceiling £750, charged to the caterer on a booking that actually happens. Free to you, always, and the same whether you book the cheapest quote or the dearest.

What it should sound like.
FeastMatch has not traded yet, so it has no customers to quote. These are the sentences the format is built to earn, written as testimonials with placeholder people. When they are real, they will say so.
“Three quotes turned up in the same shape on the same afternoon. I put them next to each other and the decision took about four minutes, which after six weeks of PDFs felt faintly ridiculous.”

Bride · Bristol
“The one I'd have picked on the headline rate came third once staffing and hire were on the same rows. That's the whole thing, really.”
Placeholder person
Office manager · Bath
“As a caterer I'd rather price a proper brief than guess at a one-line enquiry. Same questions every time means I quote in ten minutes instead of forty.”
Placeholder person
Owner · street food
“Nobody rang me. That sounds like a small thing and it is not — the last site I used sold my number to nine people before lunch.”
Placeholder person
Private party · Cheltenham
“Cancellation terms in the same table as the price. I hadn't seen that before and I've booked four of these.”
Placeholder person
Events lead · Swindon
“We won the job at the highest per-head rate because the table showed what was included. That doesn't happen over email.”

Head chef · Bath
Two ways in · working together
Two ways to use FeastMatch.
One side writes a brief. The other side prices it. The format is the same either way.
